Comparative Healthcare Austria-Slovenia-US

On 15 May 2019, we welcomed a group of 26 American students from the University of Pittsburgh to the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Pulmonary Vascular Research.

The students are currently in the School of Nursing and will later either go into the field of nursing, study medicine or work in healthcare management.

As part of the five-week “Comparative Healthcare” programme run by the Centre for Inter-American Studies at the University of Graz, the students will go on excursions to various healthcare facilities in Maribor, Salzburg and Vienna to learn how culture and health are related, how trends in healthcare are emerging and to look at the development of healthcare over time.

Diana ZABINI guided the interested students through the Institute’s premises and laboratories and gave them an insight into the field of scientific and clinical research. Questions were answered and experiences exchanged in the concluding discussion round.

Wir freuen uns schon, eine weitere Gruppe amerikanischer Studierender Ende Juni bei uns begrüßen zu dürfen.
