Philipp Douschan received the “Julius Klob Award”

Dr. Philipp Douschan from the Divison of Pulmonology, University Department of Internal Medicine and the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Lung Vascular Research received the Julius Klob Award at this year’s annual congress organized by the German Cardiac Society. This prize represents the highest award of the German Cardiac Society for scientific work in the field of pulmonary hypertension.

Title of the paper “Mild Elevation of Pulmonary Arterial Pressure as a Predictor of Mortality.” Douschan P, Kovacs G, Avian A, Foris V, Gruber F, Olschewski A, Olschewski H, Am J Respir Crit Care Med. 2018 Feb 15, 197 ( 4). 509-516 ” The work makes a significant contribution to the question of how increased pulmonary arterial pressure is associated with mortality.
