Translational Platform

We have developed a large number of techniques to facilitate the analysis of disease pathogenesis including, semi-automated analysis protocols to quantify tissue remodelling using whole slide tissue slices stained by immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry and the measurement of pulmonary hemodynamics and vascular reactivity.

The Translational Platform of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Lung Vascular Research was founded in 2014 in order to support our research groups by providing tools that bridge the gap between basic and clinical science. The modelling of clinical relevant diseases is extremely important for the analysis of gene function in vivo and the contribution of specific genes to disease pathogenesis.
